چکیده
Background & Aims of the Study: This study aimed to investigate, for first time, ability single-cell oil production from low-cost carbon sources using Kocuria Y205 native Iranian bacterial isolates soil.Materials and MethodsWhey lignocellulose compounds were used as yeast extract a nitrogen source. Also, isolated cultivation was done on Mineral Salts Medium (MSM) culture media. Molecular analysis based 16s rRNA gene sequence performed identify isolated. Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) confirm presence groups. GC also fatty acids Sudan black. Finally, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) electron microscopy image taken view stored lipid granule.ResultsThe highest rate among all in different periods by whey 24.57% after 48 hours, also, 15.29% hours.ConclusionThis shows that newly Y 205 has excellent use waste containing resources growth, production, storage microbial oil. It can be industrial applications, too.

Single Cell Oil Production from Petroleum Sludge by Native Yeast Strains
In this research, 11 yeast strains with ability to grow on petroleum sludge were isolated from effluent of a petroleum refinery. Based on growth on mineral media contaminated petroleum sludge, two isolates were selected as the super strains. Meanwhile, results based on biochemical and morphological experiments on the strains indicated that the two selected isolates belonged to Candida and Proto...
متن کاملBiosurfactants production by yeasts using soybean oil and glycerol as low cost substrate
Biosurfactants are bioactive agents that can be produced by many different microorganisms. Among those, special attention is given to yeasts, since they can produce many types of biosurfactants in large scale, using several kinds of substrates, justifying its use for industrial production of those products. For this production to be economically viable, the use of residual carbon sources is rec...

A new potent Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolate capable for biotransformation of corn oil phytosterol (PS) to 4-androstene-3, 17-dione (AD), testosterone (T) and boldenone (BOL) was identified by phenotypic analysis and 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Sequential statistical strategy was used to optimize the biotransformation process mainly concerning BOL using Factorial design and response surface method...
متن کاملA low cost fermentation medium for potential fibrinolytic enzyme production by a newly isolated marine bacterium, Shewanella sp. IND20☆
Agro-residues were used as the substrate for the production of fibrinolytic enzyme in solid state fermentation. In this study, two-level full factorial design (25) and response surface methodology were applied to optimize a fermentation medium for the production of fibrinolytic enzyme from the marine isolate Shewanella sp. IND20. The 25 factorial design demonstrated that the physical factors (p...

: World population has been continuously raised and therefore due to this fact new source of foods, particularly proteins, are in demand. In recent years, single cell protein has been considered as an accepted substitute for animal and plant proteins. In this study, single cell protein production was studied in a batch submerged culture using Aspergillus niger PTCC5012. Experimental design was ...
